Redefining the typical American npr: Marriage — it’s so last century. A new report out on Wednesday finds the share of all U.S. adults who are married has dropped to its lowest on record, at just 51 percent. If the trend continues, the institution will soon lose its majority status in American life. And it’s higher still for the college educated.” These are almost the exact ages Cora and Harold were at their wedding (give or take a few months), and they were one of the first couples in their group of college friends to tie the knot. This article is a great read, but would you expect anything less from NPR?
